TeekensKarstens came into existence in 2001 as a result of a merger of the Leiden offices of Teekens solicitors and Karstens notaries. The two offices had been around since 1939 and 1955 respectively and were firmly rooted in Leiden society.
From the time of the merger onwards, a joint office site was sought in Leiden that would do justice to TK's culture, clients and experience. The new branch at Vondellaan 51 in Leiden was occupied in June 2006. Transparent, easily reachable and with a no-nonsense character, the building stands as a symbol of the TK approach.

With the addition of Goedkoop and Partners in Alphen aan den Rijn and Kompier in Lisse in 2007/2008, TK's growth in the Randstad area is going from strength to strength. TK regularly competes with the offices of the Amsterdam South axis, particularly in the commercial market, but is still devoted to the principles of accessibility and "thinking quickly on one's feet". For us, that's More TK.

Many young partners and staff have chosen a future at TK due to the room for development and personal ambition. Everyone represents his own expertise and experience within close-knit teams organised around spheres of activity and market specialism. All specialisms are represented, both for business / corporate clients and private individuals. New initiatives like www.tkgoedscheiden.nl demonstrate that we capitalise on new developments. In the future we will be opening more practices in the market, rooted in a specific TK range, in which a team of specialists will be coming together. Such team spirit and entrepreneurial spirit are typical of us, and this will continue to be the driving force behind our office as well.
