Iris Hoen

Iris' focus is on the education sector and legal issues in education. Iris is the permanent strategic advisor to a large number of educational institutions both in primary and secondary (international) education and in MBO and higher education. She works for and with supervisors, directors, directors, managers and advisers within the education sector. Iris leads the Education sector team.

Iris joined TK as a lawyer-partner in 2019. She started her career as an employment lawyer and then held various positions as P&O policy advisor and HR consultant. In 2003, she continued her legal career serving education at the VBS (United Special Schools) and later in the legal profession.

Iris studied Dutch law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and obtained several masters, including a degree in legal economics, a course she took in Hamburg, Ghent and Oxford. In early 2018, she obtained the CIPP/E certification and is considered a specialist in national and European privacy and data protection law.

You deliver the best advice by knowing both the law and the market. Thanks to my years of knowledge and experience in the education sector, I know what is going on, know my clients and - together with my team - ensure that we turn questions into solutions. Because of my focus, clients choose me, but I chose them first.

Pursuant to this registration, Iris is required to obtain ten training points in each registered main area of law each calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
